Footprints Premier A Hit

The Premier of the new Christian Film "Footprints" took place Thursday, Jan. 20 at the Stadium Theatre.

Footprints, a Christian movie based upon the true experiences of Jim Huggins and his German Shephard, Cadie, had its first screening Thursday night at the Stadium Theatre.  Huggins and Russ Dougherty wrote the screenplay of Footprints based upon an original manuscript of experiences between Jim and his dog Cadie, and how together they learned to share the Gospel of Christ with others.

The movie is a true labor of love, and depicts not only the loving relationship between a man and his best friend, but more importantly, between man and God.  The was packed full Thursday night, with Christians and non Christians alike.  The entire cast was there for the premier, and since a good portion of the movie was filmed at Ocean State Baptist Church in Smithfield, many from the congregation were present, including music director John Del Ricci.

The audience was asked to pay particular attention to this version of the film, since it was uncut and unedited.  Each guest was given a comment card and asked to write down their suggestions which will be used in the final editing of the movie.

The film was well told and beautifully executed, with numerous heart-warming scenes that will not be easily forgotten.  A wonderful Christian movie, the script and players seem sincere in their desire to reach the audience with the Gospel of Christ.
