Free Comic Book Day at Cumberland Public Library

Cumberland Public Library 1464 Diamond Hill Road Cumberland, RI 02864 Saturday, May 2, 2015 10AM-4PM

The Cumberland Public Library will celebrate Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 2nd from 10am-4pm. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) celebrates comic book lovers of all ages! This special event takes place the first Saturday in May every year, and participating stores and libraries around the world give away free comic books. The goal of FCBD is to encourage readers to explore the fun and excitement that comic books have to offer. The library will offer events throughout the day for all ages, including raffle prizes for attendees who come in costume, a comic creation station, a talk on the history of Batman, a screening of the film Guardians of the Galaxy, and of course, free comics! This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Cumberland Public Library and Rubber Chicken Comics of Bellingham, MA. For more information and a complete schedule of events, please visit www.cumberlandlibrary.org or contact Jenn Cournoyer at (401) 333-2552 x2 or jenn@cumberlandlibrary.org
