Greater Woonsocket Youth Summer Jobs Program Taking Applications for summer 2015

Community Care Alliance’s Youth Works411 Center, pending funding from the RI Department of Labor and Training, is opening up the application process for the Greater Woonsocket 2015 Youth Summer Jobs Program. This 6-week summer program is open to youth and young adults ages 14 to 24 in the greater Woonsocket area. Youth from Woonsocket, North Smithfield, Cumberland, Lincoln, and Burrillville are eligible to apply. However, spots are limited and youth that have never been in the program before are strongly encouraged to apply. The work readiness and employment program is an opportunity for youth to acquire the skills and training necessary to successfully gain work experience. To be considered for the program, all prospective participants and their parent or guardian (if under 18) must attend an application night at the Youth Center. Application nights are held every Wednesday evening from 4-6pm at the Youth Center, 55 Main Street, Woonsocket. Prospective participants must bring to the application night:
- Applicants birth certificate
- Applicant social security card
- Applicants proof of address within the past 90 days (usually a report card – must have youth’s name and address on it)
- Proof of family income for the past 6 months (or most recent SNAP statement, must have youth name on back of statement letter)
