The Northern Rhode Island Camera Club holds its annual meeting at the Woonsocket Harris Public Library to get local photography enthusiasts together to compare works, methods and ideas. This free event tonight is open to all and starts at 7 p.m.

Help Our Wounded Vets

Head over to the Woonsocket Elks Lodge at 380 Social Street Friday night for a Beer and Dynamite Fundraiser to benefit the "Run to Home Base" program that helps vets wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq. The event starts at  7 p.m. and costs $10.

The Vagina Monologues

Encore Repertory Company Presents the Vagina Monologues for one night only at Stadium Theatre. Both drama and comedy, this adult-content performance on female sexuality costs $19 and starts at 8 p.m.

Cheer on the hoop girls

After a close game last night against South Kingston, WHS Girls' basketball team moves on to the Division I Quarterfinals on Saturday at Rhode Island College (RIC.) The girls take on LaSalle, hailed by some as the best team in the state. Show your support at this 3 p.m. match-up.

Mount Saint Charles Girls, meanwhile, must take on the Warwick to secure a spot in Sunday's Division II basketball Quarterfinals. MSC girls are heavily favored in Friday night's 7 p.m. game, and a likely bet for a 7 p.m. Quarterfinal game at RIC.

MSC Boys at Adelard  

Mount Saint Charles boys' hockey enters the Division I Quarterfinals with a Friday night game at Adelard Arena. The top ranked team plays 8th place Smithfield at 9 p.m.
