Library Patron Tried to Sell Drugs: Police Allege

WOONSOCKET, RI—Woonsocket police have notified federal immigration authorities about a suspect believed to have been deported before under a different name. Morino Gonzalez, 32, of Lynn, Massachusetts, was trying to sell drugs at the public library, police allege. He was arrested by Vice Detectives, and an investigation showed he was carrying a small amount of cocaine, police said.
During the arrest, police allege Gonzalez threatened to shoot the detective. Police said they did not find a gun in his possession, however. He was charged with making threats to public officials, disorderly conduct, two drug offenses (Possession with Intent to Deliver and Distributing Near a School) and Obstructing a Police Officer.
