Lincoln Evacuation: Gas Line Leak
Police and firefighters went door to door checking houses in an 800 ft. evacuation area due to a gas leak at Winter and Church streets.
LINCOLN, RI — Police spent much of Friday afternoon evacuating an 800 foot area in the Manville section, due to a gas leak at Winter and Church streets. National Grid was called. Houses were checked for gas. The accident happened when a contractor struck a gas line.
