(newsfromthestates.com) — Woonsocket officials are poised to hire Veolia North America to temporarily run the city's troubled sewage treatment plant and sludge incinerator, replacing Jacobs after a contract dispute. City leaders still aim to close the odor-plagued incinerator, but a collapsed deal with the Narragansett Bay Commission complicates that goal.
