Rhode Island Couple Injured In New Hampshire Rollover
The Chepachet couple was riding in a side-by-side off-road vehicle without helmets, eye protection or seatbelts.
CHEPACHET, RI — Two Rhode Islanders was injured in an off-road vehicle rollover in New Hampshire over the weekend. The young couple was riding on a borrowed side-by-side when a failed turn caused the vehicle to roll.
According to THe New Hampshire Department of Fish and Game, the crash happened around 7 p.m. on Sunday on High Bridge Brook Road in Clarksville. The driver, Andrew Baillargeon, 21, of Chepachet, tried to spin the vehicle around a log landing and, failing, rolled it onto its passenger side. Both he and the passenger, Sierra Roberts, 21, also of Chepachet, sustained minor injuries. Neither were wearing helmets, eye protection or seatbelts.
Baillargeon declined any medical treatment, while Roberts was taken by ambulance to the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital (UCVH) in Colebrook.

According to officials, the crash happened at the end of a dead-end spur road that is not on the designated trail system.
The side-by-side was slightly damaged in the crash and was driven from the crash scene. Baillargeon was cited for dangerous operation of an Off-Highway Recreational Vehicle (OHRV).
