Interstate Navigation, the operator of the Block Island Ferry, is hiring deckhands on its hi-speed and traditional ferries for the 2015 season.

The famous theme song quoted above tries to lure visitors with a catchy tune and a call to “just leave your troubles behind.”

With immediate openings, the ferry’s presence in local waters might be your ticket to leaving your summer money problems behind!

Seasonal positions are typically available through October and applicants will be expected to work through Labor Day weekend.

You must be 18 and submit to a U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Transportation drug screening.

“Applicants must also be reliable, present a neat and clean appearance and possess a good customer service attitude,” the job listing explains.
