Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued for Woonsocket

Storms are building across northeastern Rhode Island and Woonsocket is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 4 p.m.

People are advised to get inside.

The National Weather Service in Boston reported that the storms will interact with the sea breeze along the coast of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Damaging winds and large hail are a possiblity.

“Go indoors and stay away from windows,” the weather service said in a weather bulletin.
