State Police Arrest Woonsocket Man On MA Fugitive Warrant

WOONSOCKET, RI — An inmate from Woonsocket waived extradition to Massachusetts after RI State Police arrested him on being a fugitive from justice from the Bay State. Police said members of the Major Crimes Unit charged inmate Richard B. Gobern, 30, whose last known address was in Woonsocket, on the outstanding warrant on Tuesday.

Gobern was arraigned in Third Division District Court where he waived extradition proceedings. He was held without bail and remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions as he awaited Massachusetts authorities.
