State Police Arrest Woonsocket Man On Outstanding Warrants

WOONSOCKET, RI — State Police arrested a Woonsocket man on outstanding warrants and charged him with obstructing an officer in execution of duty during a traffic stop Sunday morning. Police said Wilfred Descy was wanted on a warrant for harassing communication out of Pawtucket and a superior court warrant for failure to appear in court.

Police said the stop came shortly before noon on Privilege Street.

Descy is charged with obstruction, harassing communication and failure to appear in court for a cost review on a charge of breaking-and-entering out of the Woonsocket Police Department.

Descy was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and held overnight pending arraignment as a probation violator.
