State Police Arrest Woonsocket Woman for Passing Funny Money

Taquala A. Wigginton, 20, was charged with passing counterfeit money and other offenses.

WOONSOCKET, RI —On Feb. 21, members of the Major Crimes Unit, the Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Scituate Barracks arrested Taquala A. Wigginton, 20, Woonsocket, state police said.

She was charged with seven offenses: 1) Passing a Counterfeit Bill or Note (Felony); 2) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses—Over $1500 (Felony); 3) Possession of a Counterfeit Bill or Note (Felony); 4) Soliciting Another to Commit a Crime (Felony); 5) Conspiracy (Felony); 6) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule I (Marijuana) (Felony); and 7) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Eluding a Police Officer/Scituate Barracks.

She was taken to State Police Headquarters where she was processed; arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and held without bail.
