State Police Charge Woonsocket Man With SNAP Fraud
State Police charged Woonsocket men with conspiracy, failure to appear in court in separate arrests.

WOONSOCKET, RI —State Police said an investigation into the fraudulent collection of SNAP benefits led to a Woonsocket man being charged with conspiracy Friday morning. The Financial Crimes Unit charged Pirom J. Ting, 28, with fraud in collection of benefits from the Department of Administration.
Ting was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over the Sixth Division District Court for arraignment. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance.
State Police arrested Dwayne Roberson, 38, on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear for a pay review on the original charge of driving without/expired license originating out of the Woonsocket Police Department. Police said the arrest followed a traffic stop on Diamond Hill road.

Roberson was taken to State Police Headquarters, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released.
