The Beatles Bulletin: May 9

1962- May 9: The Beatles are offered their first recording contract.

1963- May 18: The Beatles start their third British tour.

1964- May 21: A single "Sie Liebt Dich," She Loves You, sung in German, is released in the US.

1965- May 20: The Beatles record their last ever music session for BBC Radio.

1966- May 30: The single Paperback Writer/Rain is released in the US.

1967- May 26: The LP, Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, is released in the UK.

1968- May 14: John Lennon publicly denounces the Maharishi on NBC TV's The Tonight Show.

1969- May 9: George Harrison releases his second solo LP.

This month's Beatles Bulletin is dedicated to Mary Tremblay of Woonsocket, who is not feeling well at this time and is under Hospice Care. Our thoughts and prayers are with her. She is the mother of former Woonsocket City Treasurer Carol Touzin.
