Woonsocket Brothers Found in Car with Cocaine, Heroin and Cash

The Alicia brothers of Woonsocket are now facing drug dealing charges.

Two Woonsocket brothers are facing charges related to their alleged cocaine and heroin dealing.

Jesus Alicea, 28, and his brother, Jose Alicea, 31, were stopped on Foundry Street and police found 77 grams of heroin, 122 grams of cocaine and 19 grams of marijuana in the car. They also found $11,700 cash.

Both man are facing charges of possession of cocaine and heroin with intent to deliver.

Patrolman Jeffry Gagnon of Woonsocket Police is credited with making the seizure.

Woonsocket Police posted pictures of the seized drugs and cash on their Facebook page on Wednesday. Dozens of residents thanked police for getting some drugs off the streets.

Court records for Jose Alicea charges were not immediately available.

Jesus Alicea is facing three counts of possession with intent to deliver, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, three counts of distribution of drugs on school grounds, driving with a suspended license and obstruction of justice, court records show.

He was ordered held without bail after an initial appearance in District Court. He due to return to court on July 14.

Both men are convicted felons and appear to be career criminals with dozens of arrests between them on a variety of drug, assault and other felonies, according to court records.
