Woonsocket Lieutenant Earns Accreditation Award

Woonsocket, RI — Woonsocket police are congratulating one of their own this week after Lt. Norm Galipeau was named Accreditation Manager of the Year in Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Police Accreditation Commission. Woonsocket police said Galipeau is responsible for systematically reviewing and assessing the agency's policies and procedures, organization, management and operations to ensure that RIPAC standards are being met.

"This is an immense undertaking and a significant responsibility," Woonsocket police posted on their Facebook page.

Lt Galipeau has also provided invaluable guidance and direction to accreditation managers in many other departments in the state.
