Woonsocket Man Faces DUI Charge After Early Morning Crash

WOONSOCKET, RI — State Police charged a Woonsocket man with driving under the influence of liquor or drugs after he was involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 146 early Sunday morning. Police said Lee Gervais, was arrested following the crash about 1 a.m. in North Smithfield.

Police said Gervais was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after they responded to the crash where he provided a blood sample. Police said results of the blood tests were pending. Gervais was taken to State Police headquarters, processed and held overnight pending a special arraignment.
