Woonsocket Man Held On Domestic Assualt Charges: State Police

WOONSOCKET, RI — State Police said an E-911 call led to a Woonsocket man being charged with domestic strangulation, assault with a deadly weapon and other charges on Sunday. Police said the domestic disturbance alert came out of Route 146 and that James Bussey, 36, was later arrested at his Woonsocket home.

Police said Bussey was charged on an affidavit and warrants out of Providence on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon — a knife — domestic strangulation and domestic breaking and entering. He was also charged on a superior court full bench warrant for failure to appear in court for a cost review on a charge of manufacturing, delivery and possession of schedule I/II drugs.

Bussy was processes at Lincoln Woods and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center.
