Woonsocket Man Indicted On Arson Charge
The RI Attorney General's Office said Luis Rivas Melendez was indicted for a Feb. 23 incident in Woonsocket.
WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket man was indicted on one count of first-degree arson and one count of violating a no-contact order in connection with a Feb. 23 Woonsocket fire.
The RI Attorney General's Office said Luis Rivas Melendez, 30, was indicted by a statewide grand jury on June 8.
The Woonsocket Police Department investigated the incident.

Melendez is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence District Court on Wednesday.
