Woonsocket Man Indicted for January Robbery
Thomas Martin, 23, will be arraigned on Aug. 19.

The Providence County Grand Jury on Thursday reported out an indictment charging Thomas Martin, 23, with one count of conspiracy and one count of first degree robbery.
Rhode Island Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin said that Martin, of 383 Prospect St., Woonsocket, conspired with an accomplice to commit the robbery.
The incident occurred in Woonsocket and Woonsocket police investigated the crime.

Martin is due to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on Aug. 19.
The accomplice, Larry Adekeye, waived indictment and pleaded no contest in April to conspiracy and second degree robbery. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, three to serve, with the remainder suspended with probation, according to Amy Kempe, spokeswoman for the state attorney general’s office.

The two men robbed a delivery driver at knifepoint, according to police.
The men stole $120 from the driver but were caught by police soon after.
