Woonsocket Man Indicted On Sex Assault, Kidnapping Charges

The Attorney General's Office said David Molitor is charged with first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping and simple assault.

WOONSOCKET, RI —A Woonsocket man has been indicted on first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping charges in connection with accused February crimes in the city.

The Attorney General's Office said a statewide grand jury indicted David Molitor on three counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and two counts of simple assault.

Molitor is accused of the crimes around Feb. 20. The Woonsocket Police Department investigated the accusations.

Molitor is scheduled for arraignment on July 8 in Providence County Superior Court.

An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until found guilty in a court of law.
