Woonsocket Police Arrest Man Riding Child's Bicycle

WOONSOCKET, RI — Police arrested a 39-year-old North Smithfield man riding a child's bicycle with pink tires. According to police, officers stopped Jeffrey Beaudreault on Hamlet Avenue near Welles Street after he allegedly veered into traffic several times. Beaudreault told the officer his car had just been towed, and he was borrowing this bicycle to ride home. Police described the bicycle as a small white bike with pink grips and pink tires. Beaudreault said the bike belonged to his friend's daughter but allowed he had not asked permission. He was charged with larceny under $1,500.
