Woonsocket Police Cruiser Rolls Over On Rathbun Street

WOONSOCKET, RI — A Woonsocket police cruiser rolled over on Rathbun Street early Wednesday morning. There was only one officer in the vehicle at the time of the crash, who was taken to the hospital to be checked out. Investigators do not believe speed was a factor in the crash.

According to WPRI, the cruiser flipped over around 4 a.m. on Wednesday. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but officials do not believe that speed was a factor.

Two parked vehicles were damaged in the crash, WPRI continued. One of the cars was towed from the scene. The extent of the damage has not been released.
