Woonsocket Police Log: Man Flashes Pistol At RI Dolls

Man shows pistol to dancer

Derek Barron, 30, of 122 Transit St. was arrested on Thursday for four felony charges: carrying an unlicensed pistol, carrying a weapon while intoxicated, altering marks on firearms, and possession of narcotics. Police responded to a report of a unwanted subject at  and were greeted by a security guard who said he'd been watching an intoxicated male who was being disrespectful to the dancers, considering removing him for the club.

Barron allegedly showed a dancer a Smith and Wesson silver 357 Magnum and the girl immediately told security guard Gary Gosselin, who called police. Reports state that Barron reached for his right pocket as officers approached him in the parking lot, though he was quickly detained and searched. Officers recovered the gun from Barron's pocket along with a pill bottle containing 34 oxycodones. Barron reportedly failed a field sobriety test and officers were unable to identify the gun's owner because the serial number had been scratched off.

Pascoag man tells officers he came looking for a prostitute

Michael Brissette, 58, of 634 Buck Hill Road, Pascoag was arrested for driving under the influence, .15 or greater on Wednesday, after Off. Brazil allegedly saw his vehicle swerving on Arnold Street. Reports state that Brissette was driving at 5-7 miles per hour, just 4-6 feet from the curb on the wrong side of the road. When Brazil pulled him over and asked him to roll down his window, but reports state that Brissette looked confused and could not seem to find the button. After several tries, Brissette allegedly waved to Brazil saying "all set" and began to drive off.

Brazil reports that when he yelled, Brissette again stopped the vehicle and was able to get the window down. The Pascoag man allegedly told officers that he had been drinking at a bar in Burilliville and had come to Woonsocket to find a prostitute.

Other police activity

Angela Blades, 25, of 384 River St. was arrested on Wednesday for two charges of domestic assault and vandalism.

Richard Beauchamp, 57, of 183 Smith Road Burrillville was arrested at 112 Fourth Ave. on Wednesday for violation of a restraining order.

Lionel Kelley, 37, of 143 Hope St. was arrested at home on Thursday for simple assault.

Tabatha Colon, 26, of 136 Social St. was arrested on Thursday for false reporting of a crime.

Allan Stefflin, 42, of 81 Spring St., Lincoln was arrested on Thursday for a warrant and driving without a license.
