Worcester DA Identifies Bellingham Drowning Victim
A 40-year-old Woonsocket man died July 4, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr.

WOONSOCKET, RI — The body of Martin Armando Celado-Herrera, 42, of Woonsocket, was recovered around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early, Jr. Searchers from Massachusetts State Police and Bellingham, Mass., police and fire departments had been looking for a man in the water since 8:30 p.m. Celado-Herrera died in an apparent drowning at Bellingham’s Lake Hiawatha on July 4. He was pronounced dead when he was pulled from the lake Tuesday.
The District Attorney's office said "an initial investigation found that Mr. Celado-Herrera had been in a canoe before it capsized. He was not wearing a flotation device and could not swim, according to witnesses. The death does not appear suspicious, but remains under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s office and Bellingham Police."
