• Bennettsville council turns tense over administrator's job search, residency (wpde.com) — Bennettsville residents just saw their city council confront questions about City Administrator William Simon’s recent job search and where he lives, even after renewing his contract. Simon says he has withdrawn from consideration elsewhere and remains committed to the city. Council will meet again Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Bennettsville Public Safety Complex to vote on a budget that would cut several positions, including two in the police department.
