CAMSKNS Expands Product Line with Skins for Apple Products

CAMSKNS, the creator of decorative, protective skins for cameras, drones and GoPros, announced today the addition of skins designed for Apple iPhones and MacBook Pro’s.

The new line of CAMSKNS products allows anyone with a MacBook Pro or iPhone to protect their device with a cool, decorative covering.

“This is a huge step for CAMSKNS as we enter a robust market for iPhone and MacBook Pro users,” said Colin Dougherty, Founder of CAMSKNS. “Our mission is to cover and protect as many Apple products with our skins as we can in addition to cameras, drones and GoPros.”

Customers will be able to mix and match CAMSKNS combinations, colors and styles with all of their devices, including the newly released Black Camo, which has been designed to meet the needs of photographers looking for a more subtle color scheme.

“It’s important that we expand our products to service people who aren’t just professional photographers, but instead meet anyone who wants to stylize and protect their iPhone or MacBook,” Dougherty said.

Dougherty said CAMSKNS has an “opportunity to grow substantially in the coming years” and he is looking to expand his relationship with Apple by offering its customers a bundled deal that will allow them not only to cover and decorate their iPhones and MacBook Pros, but other Apple products, including AirPods and their cases.

Dougherty started CAMSKNS, a direct-to-consumer company, in 2020 selling five protective skins in basic colors. The company, which operates out of Baltimore and Charleston, S.C., now sells more than 600 designs, patterns and colors for cameras that include Fuji, Sony, Canon and Nikon as well as Mavic and DJI drones and GoPros, and now the iPhone and MacBook Pro.

"A growing number of photographers and videographers want to give their camera, GoPro and drone personality in addition to protection," Dougherty said. “It is a huge market that we are tapping into.”

Dougherty grew up in Cockeysville and graduated from Towson University in 2017. CAMSKNS is part of Towson StarTUp Accelerator 2021 cohort.
