Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- The City of Charleston's First Day Festival will be distributing free school supplies and fresh food to local families. The food is courtesy of the Lowcountry Food Bank. The event will be held at the Charleston Gaillard Center and the South Carolina Aquarium between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. this Sunday. (ABC NEWS 4)
- The Charleston City Council is considering a proposal to identify rental properties that throw parties. The proposal is meant to crack down on college party houses while reducing quality-of-life issues in the community. Opponents of the proposal argue that it places too much of a burden on landlords. - Charleston County will be hosting a workshop series on wills, estates, and probate administration. The series will be offered in person and virtually.
