🌱 Illegal Drug Investigation Arrests + Artificial Reef Installation

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- The Charleston County School District has replaced chief academic officer Karolyn Belcher. She was replaced during a significant district-wide shake-up. Belcher was responsible for the district's turnaround efforts - especially at the district's Acceleration Schools. She joined the district in Jan. 2020. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The Charleston Police Department arrested nine individuals during a drug dealing investigation on the city's East Side. The investigation spent a year identifying suspects, collecting information, and building cases around the area's recent illegal drug activity. The arrested individuals were between 23 and 61 years old. They are all men. (Charleston Post Courier)
- The South Carolina Department of Natural Resources will be placing artificial reef blocks off Charleston this weekend. The Smart Reef installation is part of the state's project to get individuals outdoors. The dive team will be led by retired Special Forces operators. There will be a buoy with satellite communication capabilities installed to record data on the area's water conditions. (Charleston Post Courier)
