Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:

  1. The Jewish Federation of Charleston is collecting funds to support the resettlement of Jewish-Ukrainian families to the Charleston area. Collected donations will be used for airfare, housing, utilities, and more. Click to contribute towards the organization's fundraiser. (ABC NEWS 4)
  2. The City of Charleston is currently considering changes to the Late Night Establishment Ordinance. The changes will reportedly broaden the definition of a late-night establishment while requiring permits to be renewed annually. The changes would also allow the city to revoke a permit for repeated ordinance violations. (Charleston Post Courier)
  3. The Charleston Police Department reports an alarming increase in children getting locked in hot cars. Just this last week, the department arrested three individuals for leaving children in hot cars. The department is reminding the community that a child should never be left in a car alone. Set a reminder to check your backseat before leaving the vehicle. (Live 5 News WCSC)
