Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- North Charleston is getting a new library branch. The Keith Summey North Charleston Library is being constructed at the former site of the Cooper River Memorial Library. The new library will feature meeting rooms, segmented age sections, a community auditorium, a community classroom, outdoor reading spaces, and a creative studio. There will also be self-check-out options. (CHStoday)
- The Charleston Police Department is searching for a missing woman. Megan Rich, 41, went missing from the James Island area on Friday. She may be driving a white 2010 Range Rover SUV with 7714QJ plates. Anyone with information on Rich's whereabouts is asked to contact the department immediately. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The City of Charleston has delayed the Rental Registration Program proposal. The program would reportedly make it easier for the city to hold landlords accountable for crimes that occur on their property. The city is currently having issues contacting landlords because properties are listed as LLCs on city records. (WCBD News 2)
