🌱 Operation Move Out + Tractor-Trailer Crash Closes Intersection

First, today's weather:

Here are the top three stories in Charleston today:
- The City of Charleston's annual Operation Move Out has officially begun. The initiative will continue through Wednesday, Aug. 3. The initiative is meant to manage the removal of trash and discarded goods as renters move out of downtown properties. The Livability Division code enforcement officers will be patrolling areas to locate improperly discarded items. Flyers will be distributed with proper discarding methods. (Press Release Desk)
- The upcoming Steely Dan concert at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center has been canceled. The cancellation is reportedly due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The Aug. 4 concert was a rescheduled concert from Oct. 20, 2021. Ticketmaster reports that refunds will be automatically issued. (Charleston Post Courier)
- A tractor-trailer crash closed the intersection of Sumner Avenue and Attaway Street on Friday afternoon. The North Charleston Police Department responded to the incident. The crash reportedly involved nearby power lines. It is unclear if there were any injuries during the incident. (Live 5 News WCSC)
