Here are the top three stories today in Charleston:
- North Charleston's Wannamaker County Park had multiple fights break out on Monday at one of its shelters. Charleston County Sherriff's Office Deputies and the North Charleston Police Department responded to the fights. There were no reports of a weapon being used during the fights or any injuries sustained. (Live 5 News WCSC)
- The North Charleston Police Department warns of a new donation scam targeting residents. Scammers are soliciting donations for "Save Kids" meant to support children with brain cancer. The scammers are reportedly wearing orange vests and hats while displaying a fake North Charleston business license. (WCBD News 2)
- HBO's Righteous Gemstones is filming in Charleston and needs thousands of extras. Anyone can apply to be an extra but they will need to have a pre-filming COVID test performed by production. The extras are meant to fill large church scenes, protests, and mall shoppers. (Myrtle Beach Sun News)
