• Chester Park-COLT earns wellness award (pmg-sc.com) — Students and families at Chester Park-COLT can celebrate a big win, as the Chester school has earned a wellness award from MUSC’s Boeing Center for Children’s Wellness for its work improving nutrition, activity, and emotional health. Principal Tonia Ashford-Knox credits students, staff, and community partners for helping build a stronger culture of wellness across the school and Chester County School District. 
• South Carolina Trooper Named National Trooper of the Year for Heroic Interstate Rescue (thewoodrufftimes.com) — A South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper based with Troop 4, Post C in Chester County has been named National Trooper of the Year after stopping a wrong-way driver on I-77 in 2025. Lance Corporal R.A. Lee used his patrol car to end the pursuit, preventing what officials say could have been a devastating crash involving other motorists.
