• A scammer has collected fraudulent reservation fees at a York County park for years, detectives say (postandcourier.com) — Residents who use Field Day Park at Lake Wylie in the Clover area are being warned about a long-running cash reservation scam now under investigation by the York County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives say someone has posed as an authorized reservation contact since 2020, collecting cash for fields, pavilions, the community center, and even possible food truck spots or classes, and they’re asking anyone who paid cash there to come forward.
