5 St. Andrews Schools Win Federal Health Awards
The schools won Healthier US School Challenge Awards.
The U.S. government recognized Richland One schools for their efforts to improve students' nutrition and increase their phsyical activity.Â
At a ceremony on April 24, 45 schools were presented with the Healthier US School Challenge Award, including five in the St. Andrews area.
, , , and received bronze awards.Â

Other schools in the district received silver and gold awards for their efforts.Â
The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Education recognized the schools at C.A. Johnson High School. Donald E. Arnette, a representative with the USDA Food and Nutrition Services Regional Office, presented the awards.
