AMC Dutch Square Prepares for Midnight Showing of Newest Twilight Movie

The theater will hold a special showing of "Eclipse" before the midnight premiere.

Twilight fans will flock to the theaters Thursday night for the midnight showing of the newest movie in the series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1." 

has sold about 500 tickets in advance for the midnight showing, theater employees said Wednesday. One theater is sold out, and tickets are being sold for the second theater. 

As long as tickets keep selling, they'll keep opening more theaters — all eight if necessary, an employee said.

A University of South Carolina sorrority has also rented one of the smaller theaters for the midnight showing. 

Twilight fans can also celebrate the release of the newest movie with a special event at AMC Dutch Square. The theater will show "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" at 9:30 p.m. Thursday before the midnight premeire of "Breaking Dawn Part 1."

Movie-goers can purchase tickets for both shows or just for the midnight showing on the AMC website. 

Fans are encouraged to dress in bridesmaid dresses, wedding gowns and tuxedos to celebrate the marriage of movie characters Bella and Edward. 

The theater also has several showing of the movie Friday. Theater employees said about 70 tickets have been sold for showings on Friday.
