AT&T SUPPORTS SOUTH CAROLINA STORM RELIEF WITH $50,000 CONTRIBUTION AND LAUNCHES TEXT DONATION CAMPAIGN TO BENEFIT RED CROSS
AT&T Text-to-Donate Option Provides Additional Ways to Support Relief, Recovery
With waters from the weekend’s record-setting floods still rolling through many neighborhoods, AT&T is moving to help South Carolinians rebuild their lives and communities. The company today announced a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross in support of its disaster relief and storm recovery efforts.
“While these floods were unprecedented in their scope and scale, South Carolinians have a long heritage of overcoming even the toughest challenges through our resolve, resiliency and belief in helping each other,” said Pamela Lackey, president of AT&T-South Carolina. “At AT&T, we are committed to providing the communication resources which are needed every day and which are especially important in times like these. But we are also committed to doing our part to help our friends, neighbors and communities recover from these storms.”
AT&T is also launching a text-to-give donation program benefiting the Red Cross disaster relief efforts.

Those wishing to support recovery efforts in South Carolina can visit www.redcross.org, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or text REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation*.
“Even as we see tremendous suffering and heartbreak in times of tragedy, we also see shining examples of kindness and generosity as people reach out to support others,” said Louise Welch Williams, American Red Cross Regional CEO for South Carolina. “We appreciate the support of all the organizations and individuals who are helping us to make a difference for South Carolina and her people.”

Donations to Red Cross Disaster Relief can help provide food, water and shelter for those who have had to leave their home. Contributions to the Red Cross will help those hard-hit by the storm as they start to recover, rebuild and get back on their feet.
