SC – ECPI University is pleased to announce that it is now offering an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Health Information Management at its Columbia, South Carolina campus.
Graduates will be prepared to ensure the availability of accurate health data through the application of industry-leading healthcare technologies. Coursework involves health data management, information policy, information systems, administration and clinical work flow.
US News and World Report recently listed Health Information Management (HIM) as one of the hottest jobs in the future (11/19/2011). “As emerging technologies work towards a fully electronic future, HIM professionals are needed to fill the
growing workforce,” says ECPI University Columbia Campus President James Rund. “The Columbia metro area has an amalgamation of hospital networks and major medical insurance companies which rely on Health Information Management professionals.
