Business Services Review Task Force to Hold Community Forum

The task force is examining concerns raised by local business owners about the permitting, zoning and building process.

A nine-member task force is encouraging business representatives to share their experiences working with the city or the county on the permitting, zoning and building processes.

The Business Review Task Force will hold a public forum at 4 p.m. Monday at the South Carolina Bar Association, 950 Taylor St.

The task force was formed as a result of concerns raised by local business owners about delays and difficulties in the departments responsible for the approval of permits. It is a partnership between the City of Columbia, the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce and Richland County.
