Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool Students Donate Food and Gifts
Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool in Columbia held gift and food drives in support of Families Helping Families and Harvest Hope
Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Columbia recently donated gifts – including toys, clothing, shoes and pajamas – to local people in need through Families Helping Families in the Midlands. Students collected donations to fulfill the wishes of a family of four, as well as two seniors they “adopted” for the holidays. Students and their families wrapped the gifts to prepare them for delivery to the recipients.
Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Columbia also held a food drive for local food bank Harvest Hope. In conjunction with the Clemson vs. South Carolina football game on Nov. 27, Chesterbrook Academy decorated two large donation boxes: one in Clemson Orange and Purple, and one in Carolina Garnet and Black. Families dropped their food donations in their favorite team’s box, and Chesterbrook Academy delivered the donations to Harvest Hope to help provide meals to South Carolina residents in need.
Through both initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back to their community and spreading cheer during the holiday season.
