Colonial Life Donates $6K to Charities
Media and charity representatives compete to win donations.

Local media celebrities teamed up with charity organizations to compete in the 10th annual Colonial Life Challenge for Charity on June 21. Nine teams answered trivia questions about insurance and benefits.Â
Columbia Metropolitan Magazine took first place, winning a $3,000 donation to Central Carolina Community Foundation. WOLO-TV won second place and a $2,000 donation to the Columbia Museum of Art. WMHK-FM came in third with a $1,000 donation to Daybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center.Â
Other competitors included WIS-TV, WVOC-AM, The State Newspaper, WACH-TV, WLTX-TV and MidlandsBiz.com.Â

The Challenge for Charity has resulted in more than $50,000 in donations to Midlands community organizations over the past 10 years.Â
