Here are the top stories in Columbia today:
- A 24-year-old man was shot in the upper body at the Colony Apartments around 11 a.m. on Monday. He was transported to the hospital, but his condition was not released by the Columbia Police Department. Investigators were on the scene and interviewing witnesses early Monday afternoon, the police department reported. (The State)
- Harvest Hope Food Bank is asking for the community's help as it struggles due to ongoing supply chain issues. According to Harvest Hope, there aren't enough food donations coming into the warehouse right now, and leaders say local grocery stores don't have the products to donate to the food bank. Chief Executive Officer Erin Rowe says the food bank is now purchasing its own food to keep up with the high demand. (Abccolumbia.com)
- The Lexington County Sheriff's Department and other agencies continued their search Monday for a Lexington County man after his boat was found abandoned in Lake Murray. (Lexington County Chronicle)
- A $30,000 Mega Millions ticket was sold at the Columbia Food Lion located at 4760 Hard Scrabble Road. (WACH.com)
