Guide to Voting: Columbia City Council Election

Need to know who's running and where to vote? Patch has the information you need.

Voters will head to the polls Tuesday to elect new council members for Columbia's at-large, District 2 and District 3 seats.

A list of the nine candidates in the running is below. 

Voters who live in the St. Andrews and Irmo areas can find their precinct and polling location below.

Registered voters who don't know their precinct, can enter their county and name on the S.C. Election Commission website to find their precinct. This will also let voters know which city council district they live in.

Polls will be open between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. 

Voters should bring one of three types of identification: a voter registration card, a S.C. driver's license or a S.C. ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Anyone with questions should call the Richland County Elections and Voter Registration office at 803-576-2240.
