Columbia Fire Department: Suspect Sought In Connection With Columbia Arson Fire

The Columbia Police Department is looking for a male suspect wanted in connection with a fire that took place in the Booker Washington Heights neighborhood of Columbia on Wednesday evening September 29, 2021.

Crews with the Columbia-Richland Fire Department responded to the scene on the 3400 block of Beaumont Avenue shortly before 11:15 p.m. Upon their arrival firefighters found a home on the block completely engulfed in flames. The fire was eventually brought under control and extinguished and there were no injuries.

The police department is now trying to locate 57-year-old Michael Masterson McClellan. There are warrants for his arrest on burglary and arson charges.
