Columbia High Celebrates Black History Month

Students will celebrate by dressing up as famous black athletes, scientists and more.

Columbia High School students and teachers are celebrating Black History Month with a series of events in February. 

The celebration kicked off Tuesday with students dressing up as their favortie black athlete.

Feb. 14: Open Mic Day during 1st lunch in the media center

Feb. 16: Dress up like your favorite black entertainer

Feb. 22: Dress up like your favorite black scientist

Feb. 24: Dress in African attire for the Black History Month Assembly from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

Feb. 28: Dress up like your favorite black hero/"shero"
