Columbia High's Ky Tyler Signs with Hargrave Military Academy

Tyler will attend the prep school before being recruited by other colleges.

Columbia High football player KyNicholas Tyler signed with Hargrave Military Academy Wednesday. 

Tyler will spend one semester at the prep school in Virginia, Coach Kemper Amick said. He'll then be recruited by other colleges. 

Tyler threw for 2,256 yards and 31 touchdowns this season. He rushed for 1,157 more yards and 20 more touchdowns.

Tyler's mother, Stephanie Tyler, was at the announcement at Columbia High's media center Wednesday to support him. They were joined by Sandra Stark, Tyler's "honorary football mother," who has been at Tyler's practices and games since he was a kid, Stephanie Tyler said.
