Columbia High Student Selected for Regional Orchestra

The South Carolina Music Educators Association holds auditions for regional orchestras.

A Columbia High student was one of 11 Richland One musicians named to the Midlands region orchestra by the S.C. Music Educators Association.

Courtney Paraham, a viola player, was selected as a junior region orchestra member.

Paraham and the other orchestra members had to audition by playing an excerpt from an etude, as well as a solo. They also had to perform a number of scales and sight-read music.
