Columbia Police: Missing Woman, 51, Found in Clarendon County

A woman who was reported missing last week after failing to return home from walking to a local gas station on Farrow Road was found safe Monday morning in Clarendon County.

Alfreda McFadden, 51, was found in Manning, Columbia Police spokeswoman Jennifer Timmons said.  A Crimestoppers tip helped lead authorities to her location.

No information was provided on how McFadden arrived in Manning. 

McFadden was reported missing after she left her Cindy Drive home and was seen walking to 6201 Farrow Road, the Gaz-bah gas station to make a purchase, around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9.

The Clarendon County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the case, Timmons said.
